British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the global fight fans had expressed sympathy for the champion in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
